Andy has 12 years experience as a Chartered Physiotherapist working both in the NHS and in private practice after graduating from the University of Huddersfield in 2005. Andy is registered with the Health Professions Council, The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Acupuncture association of physiotherapists.
He has a wealth of experience in treating a wide range of sporting and musculoskeletal issues. Until 2015 Andy worked as a spinal specialist physiotherapist and managed a team of physios for Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust. He left this role to concentrate on working in his own business.
Andy is a fully qualified Pilates class instructor and fully trained to provide acupuncture. He has completed Post graduate Masters level training in Therapeutic exercise and spinal dysfunction . As a physiotherapist Andy is passionate to provide a combination of manual therapy alongside exercise therapy and self management strategies during your rehabilitation.
Away from work Andy is a keen golfer playing at Meltham Golf Club and has a keen interest in providing advice for golfers to help address any musculoskeletal issues that may be preventing players from getting the most from their game. He has links to a number of local golf professionals should a joint assessment approach be required.
Andy grew up in the Midlands with his parents and is the eldest of 3 boys. He now lives in Huddersfield and is married to Laura who is also a physiotherapist specialising in Paediatrics and has a daughter Imogen born in February 2015.
